Wimborne Rotary Swimathon success

The Wimborne Rotary Swimathon 2009 has been a huge success and the total amount of money pledged so far is £10,000.
Over 30 teams and a total of 200 swimmers took part to raise money for the three charities - Pramacare, Naomi House and Life Education Wessex. A further 25% of the funds raised will be sent to a charity nominated by each swimming team leader.
Wimborne Rotary Club President Rex Hurdle said, "This is such a good fun event and people came to me during the evening to express their thanks to Wimborne Rotary. I would also like to thank the management and staff of the Queen Elizabeth Leisure Centre for allowing us to use the pool."
