Pramacare - One of the family

24 years of Pramacare celebrated

15/05/2006 - Local domiciliary care charity Pramacare celebrated 24 years as a care provider with a service of thanksgiving at St.Saviour's Church, Holdenhurst, Iford on Thursday May 8th. Pramacare's clients, care attendants, office coordinators, directors, supporters and trustees gathered for hymns, prayers and a talk by the Reverend Holbrook, the rector of Wimborne Minster.

"The need for care in the home, be it physical care or help with housework or shopping is ever growing", says Pramacare's General Manager Ian Collier. "Each year we have a service of thanksgiving to publicly acknowledge and give thanks for everyone involved in Pramacare from our clients to people working behind the scenes raising funds in our charity shops."

This year the service gave special thanks for Pramacare's founder Dr.Chris Moran, who after a long battle with illness had died in January. The Reverend Holbrook's sermon focused on the word 'Help', which he neatly summarised by reading the words from the Beatles' hit of the same name.
