07/08/2008 -
Three gardens opened their gates to raise funds for local home care charity Pramacare on Saturday August 2nd. Mr and Mrs Fenn (pictured) from Parkstone completed the prize flower competition quiz and won two free tickets to Guernsey or Jersey , thanks to Condor Ferries.
"We are so grateful to Pramacare supporters who opened their gardens to raise funds and all those who visited on the day," says fundraising manager Maurene Wilson, who made the presentation to Mr and Mrs Fenn. "So far the Open Garden Event has raised more than £200."
Pramacare subsidises the cost of care for people that it supports on reduced incomes. Last year the charity gave £160,000 in subsidy.
