Pramacare launches training sponsorship programme
19/06/2008 -
Local home care charity Pramacare has launched a special sponsorship programme to support the induction training of new care attendants.
"Each Pramacare care attendant undertakes three days of induction training before they start their caring work", explains training manager Tracy Knight. "They also receive regular ongoing training updates and can work towards NVQ qualifications."
Maurene Wilson, Pramacare's fundraising manager adds, "The charity invests £540 in each new carer's induction training, giving them the professional skills necessary to provide the best quality of care. We're asking supporters to sponsor this vital training, either by regular giving over a period of time or by holding a special fundraising event."
Maurene continues; "The more funds that we are able to raise the more people that Pramacare is able to support with care fee subsidies. Last year we provided over £160,000 in care fee subsidy to local people who are supported by our help and care at home."
