Pramacare - One of the family

Bournemouth Tangent Club donates £2000 to Pramacare

22/05/2006 - Sonia Hall, the Immediate Past President of Bournemouth's Tangent Club No 1, chose local domiciliary-care charity, Pramacare, as the beneficiary of charity monies raised during her year of office.

"Pramacare helped both my parents and my aunt over many years. The care they provide is marvellous," says Sonia. "We organised a variety of events from coffee mornings to a slave auction to raise the funds. Friends and members of the Bournemouth Tangent Club generously donated wonderful items for the auction including the use of a luxury holiday flat, caravan holidays and boat trips."

In addition money was donated by the daughter of one of the club's oldest members Mollie Mallows, who died in January aged 100. All donations from Mollie's funeral were kindly given to Pramacare.

Ian Collier, Pramacare's General Manager adds "Pramacare is a registered charity which provides over 2,000 hours of care support each week in the local area. Thanks to ongoing fundraising and support of people like Sonia and her friends Pramacare is able to help pay towards the cost of care for those unable to afford it."

The Tangent Club is for ladies formerly in Circle - the female division of the Round Table movement. Bournemouth Tangent No 1 was founded in 1950 and today has 80 members with an age span of 45 to 98 years.
