Pedal power - a mile for each client
22/06/2007 -
As keen cyclists Nicky and Mike Holgate have decided to celebrate their 50th birthdays and Pramacare’s 25th anniversary with a 700 mile sponsored cycle ride. On 22nd June the Bournemouth couple will be cycling from Bilbao in Spain and up through France before sailing back home to Poole. “We’ve decided to raise funds for local home care charity Pramacare”, says Nicky, who has worked for the charity for the past 10 years. “Pramacare looks after around 700 people in Bournemouth, Poole and East Dorset each week, so we’re cycling one mile for each of them. We hope to raise funds to help towards care fee subsidies which Pramacare offers to those that it helps who are on reduced incomes.” Local family run business Bicycle World has even helped Mike to build his own hand built bicycle, including hand built wheels, especially for the venture. To give your support call 01202 599199 and ask to be added to the sponsorship list.
